Way to earn money through Internet blogs – to get traffic to my blog

Many times when people learn how to make money on the Internet, we hear that blogging is a great way to achieve this, the confusion is how to go to work. The question seems to be the biggest difference with young people on the Internet … Start of the bloggers is how to get traffic to blogs. Just like any other site on the Internet, there are several ways to get traffic.

To allow the search engines know

Search engines love blogs because of the unique content … This content is changing all the time. Every time you create a new post content.

That’s great .. But we must send a signal to search engines that put this content. I would like to know the search engines you have new things, “Burrs” Basically, the equivalent of waving a large red flag that says, “I’m here!”

Search engines can find your content in the end if you write good, but give yourself and your blog is an opportunity to obtain such urgent attention and by the Burrs.

Building list

One of the easiest ways to get traffic is to focus on building a list. You can do this by pressing the page or in the form of adherence to blog … For all your list-building tools as usual.

E-mail list of your current when you have one of the great blog posts. Will read and comment and perhaps relevant blogs.

The leadership of the movement

You can also pay traffic to your blog through some of the traditional ways, and link back to your blog. In other words, all you have done to the leadership of the movement to pressure or a web page, you can do to get visitors to your blog.

* Press Releases
* Articles
* Podcasts
* Teleseminars
* Google AdWords
* Social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook

Personally, instead of spending tons of time on this I would like to focus on the use of your blog is indexed, as is the case with search engines. It also gets better and better at writing for your audience and appear in relevant search engines in the form of interest and more people will find you. Then, with the passage of time will link to you.

Minimum for those who want to know how to make money online blogs and use some simple tools for the traffic to your blog. This will get you set up in a wide range of more and more readers … Allows you to list more … And to make more and more money on the Internet.

Domain Parking

Domain Parking

Domain parking refers to the registration of an internet domain name without that domain being associated with any services such as e-mail or a website. This may have been done with a view to reserving the domain name for future development, and to protect against the possibility of cybersquatting. Since the domain name registrar will have set name servers for the domain, the registrar or reseller potentially has use of the domain rather than the final registrant.

Domain parking can be classified as monetized and non-monetized. In the former, advertisements are shown to visitors and the domain is 'monetized'. In the latter, an "Under Construction" or a "Coming Soon" message may or may not be put up on the domain by the registrar or reseller. This is a single-page website that people see when they type the domain name or follow a link in a web browser. Domain names can be parked before a web site is ready for launching.
Parked domain monetization

Domain parking may also refer to an advertising practice, more precisely called parked domain monetization [1], used primarily by domain name registrars and internet advertising publishers to monetize type-in traffic visiting a parked or "under-developed" domain name. The domain name will usually resolve to a web page containing advertising listings and links. These links will be targeted to the predicted interests of the visitor and may change dynamically based on the results that visitors click on. Usually the domain holder is paid based on how many links have been visited (e.g. pay per click) and on how beneficial those visits have been. The keywords for any given domain name provide clues as to the intent of the visitor before arriving.

Another use of domain parking is to be a placeholder for an existing web site. The domain holder might also choose to redirect a domain to another website it has registered, either through URL redirection, domain cloaking or by pointing it as an alias of the main domain, although if this is done by the ultimate registrant, the domain is then in use, rather than parked.

Expired domains that were formerly websites are also sought after for parked domain monetization. A domain that was used as a website and is allowed to expire will still maintain most of its prior inbound links. These types of domains usually attract their largest amount of visitor traffic initially after being claimed from the domain drop lists. As website operators and search engines begin to remove the former inbound links, the traffic to the parked domain will begin to decline. The process of re-registering expired names is known as dropcatching and various domain name registries have differing views on it. [2]

On domains with a 'one-click' implementation, a click on a keyword is not necessary to generate ads. The ads are targeted based on the domain name. Domains with 'two-click' implementations require a click on a keyword or a keyword search to generate ads.

There are several companies that actively cater to domain name holders and act as middlemen to serve advertisements on parking pages. The parking pages are propagated automatically on a domain holder's web property when they either change the name servers or forward the URL.

Domaineering

Domaineering is the web-based marketing business of acquiring and monetizing Internet domain names focusing on their use specifically as an advertising medium rather than primarily speculating on domains as intellectual property investments for resale as in domaining where generating advertising revenue is considered more of a bonus while awaiting a sale. In essence, the domain names function as virtual Internet billboards with generic domain names being highly valued for their revenue generating potential derived from attracting Internet traffic hits from natural type-in address bar searches. Revenue is earned as potential customers view pay per click ( PPC ) ads or the Internet traffic attracted may be redirected to another website. Hence, the domain name itself is the revenue generating asset conveying information beyond just functioning as a typical web address. As the value here is intrinsically in the domain name as an information carrying vehicle and not in a website's products or services, these domains are developed for advertising, ( i.e, "parked" ), and not into "conventional" websites. As with traditional advertising, domaineering is part art and part science. Often to be the most effective as an advertising tool, the domain names and their corresponding landing pages must be engineered or optimized to produce maximum revenue which may require considerable skill and keen knowledge of search engine optimization ( SEO ) practices, marketing psychology and an understanding of the target market audience, including demographics. Domaineering generally utilizes a firm offering domain parking services to provide the sponsored "ad feed" of a word or phrase searched for thus creating a mini-directory populated largely by advertisers paying to promote their products and services under a relevant generic keyword domain often found through direct navigation. Occasionally content is added to develop a functional mini-website. Ethical domaineers contend that their product, i.e., "domain advertising", is a bona fide offering of goods or services in and of itself which provides rights to and legitimate interests in the generic domains they use. This serves as a rebuttal or defense in addressing occasional spurious accusations of cybersquatting on trademarks. Domaineers and some of those who advertise online using generic keywords believe domaineering provides a useful, legal and legitimate Internet marketing service while opponents of domaineering decry the practice as increasing the ubiquitous commercialization of the world wide web. Domaineering aka "domain advertising" is practiced by both large organizations which may have registered hundreds or even thousands of domains to individual entrepreneurial minded domaineers who may only own one or a few. The earliest known verifiable identification and defining of domaineering as a distinct Internet advertising practice is attributed to Canadian Professor William Lorenz

DomainDomain parking is an extremely inexpensive way to secure a domaindomaindomain for later development, redirection of Web traffic, or re-sale. DomainDomainDomain registrants, or sellers, commonly offer domaindomaindomain parking free with domain registration, as there is virtually no cost involved with domaindomaindomain parking.

A parked domaindomaindomain includes one simple page. If the site is intended for development, the page will indicate it is under construction or coming soon. DomainDomainDomain parking can be renewed annually, and there is no deadline as to when a site need be developed. You might find you don’t have time, or you might decide to let the domaindomaindomain expire at the end of the contract, typically one year. In this case, the only investment lost is a few dollars.

If you decide to develop your domaindomaindomain, you will need to pay for hosting services at that point. The right hosting service will provide enough space for your website and any special scripts or services you require. Once the domaindomaindomain is being hosted, it is no longer parked.

If you already have a successful site, another use of domaindomaindomain parking is to secure addresses similar to your main website and redirect traffic there - an inexpensive way to protect your website. For example, wiseGEEK.net redirects traffic to the proper site, wiseGEEK.com. The first domaindomaindomain is parked. The parked domaindomaindomain need not reside on the same host server as the main website.

Some people use domaindomaindomain parking for the sole purpose of ‘re-selling’ the address - transferring ownership to a buyer for a fee. This occurred more in the early days of the Internet, when major companies had yet to arrive and were willing to pay a high price for their trademark names. Laws were eventually enacted to protect trademarks, but a parked page can still advertise the sale of a domaindomaindomain.

If interested in domaindomaindomain parking, keep in mind a few considerations. Most domaindomaindomain registrants offer hosting services, but you may or may not want the domaindomaindomain seller to host the domaindomaindomain once it is no longer parked. Be sure to check that the domaindomaindomain seller does not retain any rights to the domaindomaindomain. The buyer should have the power to control the domaindomaindomain’s registration information, and most importantly, the ability to transfer the domaindomaindomain to an independent hosting service when and if desired. Check to see whether a fee is associated with transferring the domaindomaindomain.

DomainDomainDomain registration once cost over 60 US Dollars (USD) per year, but today a domaindomaindomain can be had for as little as 5.99 USD annually or less. Hence, domaindomaindomain parking is an attractive proposition.

Actually oDesk is more than a place for outsourcing, but a whole system for hiring and managing coders. It's rather techcentric. It's not the sort of thing that a client would enjoy managing (one does need to know how to spec a project in technical terms and how to speak to a developer). It's something for someone like me with one foot in the commercial realm and the other on the technical side. But to be honest I would probably have John do most of the developer management (depending on the project).

The decision about whether I would manage the project directly or not, would probably depend on whether John was already involved in that area of the business. Most of the SEO work is my direct province. To put someone between myself and the end developer would likely not improve matters. Most of the WordPress refinements and CMS (apart from the WYSIWYG editor and even that I've tried to hand off - but developers just don't understand WYSIWYG editors) are John's sphere. I am about to interview amother full-time developer locally with superb qualifications (finally!) this week. But if it doesn't work out or we need still more hands on deck, oDesk here we come! I will probably hire Russian and Ukrainian developers as I speak the language fluently. I don't really want to move to Tomsk (Vienna is quite nice, thank you!) to have to work with them. Without oDesk, you'd feel pretty cutoff. But with oDesk, I can live in Vienna and work in Tomsk a few days a week. Fantastic.

Some things I really like about oDesk apart from the system itself.

* reasonable fees: oDesk takes a flat 10% fee. Small enough that nobody is really tempted to push them out of the middle. In exchange they provide a superb regulated environment.
* transparency - you can get objective tested evaluations of most of the developers and you can even check out their personal sites and contact them off oDesk if you wanted to.
* good design: unlike rentacoder.com, oDesk looks like it was meant to be used by people in attractive offices not tortured coders in industrial parks. As an ex-adman appearances are important to me.
* high rates for the providers. As a buyer that sounds like a crazy notion. But really I don't want to be hiring a developer for $2/hour. Not only would I not feel great about it. He will probably either not have the skills or do a shoddy job. oDesk gives really talented guys in Tomsk (who might like Tomsk - I've been to Irkutsk but not Tomsk) a fair shake at earning something like a Western wages. $10/hour ($9 after oDesk's cut) might not sound like much to you but it's a great wage for a programmer beyond the Urals or in Rumania. Expect to see some international programming stars rise out of oDesk.

I could even imagine that I would consider taking on an oDesker as a permanent programmer six months or year into the relationship. Who knows I might even move the guy to the West if that's what he really wanted and the commercial project justified the expense. Certainly, somebody who was doing regular work for Foliovision over six months would be more than welcome to visit home base for a couple of weeks, partly tourism and partly work.

My first experiences with freelancers began with Elance.com a year ago and I was never 100% satisfied. I tried hiring writers and link builders and none of those were really good.I also didn’t get that many bids for my posted projects. (maybe I was just unlucky…)

I decided to test GAF a few months ago with a few smaller projects like outsourcing ten articles or getting a few links to some of my niche websites.

There are two things that I really liked about GAF:

1. Many different bids

There are many more bidders here than on Elance especially for article writing.

Most of them also have lots of reviews which give you a good idea of their quality.

Many of these bidders also send you samples of their work so that you can get a feel for their writing style.

2. Very affordable prices

You can see in the picture above the average bid of $677 which was for 100 articles.

I often use Need-an-article.net for my articles but there is one disadvantage with them: You have to do your own research and supply the writer with the URL’s.

It typically takes me from 2 to 5 minutes of research for one article to come up with good URL’s from which the writer can extract relevant information for an article.

Doing that for 100 articles would take me 200 to 500 minutes!

Nothing like that is needed when you hire a writer on GAF. All you need is to supply them with keywords and your own SEO suggestions. (keyword in title, keyword density and so on.)

So this is a big time saver if you can get a good writer through GetAFreelancer.

How it works

If you are a buyer of services, you need to set up your account and then you can post your project.

Once you post it in the relevant categories, you’ll soon start to receive bids in your email and on the project page.

You can discuss details with every bidder through private messages. Once you choose one and they accept as well, you are given each other’s email addresses.

This means that from then on you don’t have to use GetAFreelancer private messaging but you can use personal emails or chat through Skype or Google chat which is very convenient.

If you offer services through GAF you can search for various projects by categories or by keywords.

The Payment system

GetAFreelancer offers you many methods of payment – through paypal, credit cards, Moneybookers and even E-Gold.

One neat system they have is the escrow system. Typically when someone accepts your project, they will ask you to transfer the money to escrow. This means that the money is now in GAF and not in your account and also not in your provider’s account.

You basically have paid but your provider hasn’t received the money yet. This protects both parties.

Once you receive the articles (or any other completed project) you can release the money from escrow and it is tranferred to the provider’s account.

My experiences

I did a few smaller test projects for 10 or 20 articles and hired a few writers. One of them was really good and she only bid $6 per article.

The articles were really good so I asked her if she would be willing to write 100 articles for me and I would offer her $8 per article. (for 600 to 800 words)

She agreed to work long term with me and I can say now that I have an excellent writer for the articles of my niche websites.

Of course, I don’t want to put all my eggs in the same basket so I am still testing other writers with smaller projects.

I am also testing a few link builders with smaller projects but I haven’t really done any big link building projects.

But looking at the number of bids and the number of reviews of bidders I can already see a lot of potential to find a quality link builder.

In summary

Since Chitika conveniently pays me through paypal (and my Chitika earnings still rock!) I use that money to fund my GAF projects.

So far I have been very satisfied with the GetAFreelancer system and of course with the providers I got through GAF.

And one last interesting thing I found on GAF:

There are some buyers there ordering, for example, 1000 links or 700 blog comments or 5 times 100 articles for their online businesses.

Just do a few searches on GAF (for link building or articles needed) and you’ll see what is going on behind all this blogging stuff.

I wonder how many of those buyers are some big internet marketing names we all know, secretly building their online empires

Earning way by Goosle Adsense

AdSense is an advertisement application run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and more recently, video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google beta tested a cost-per-action service, but discontinued it in October 2008 in favor of a DoubleClick offering (also owned by Google).[1]
Overview

Google uses its Internet search technology to serve advertisements based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted advertisement system may enroll through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the advertisements are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the advertisements is often relevant to the website.

Currently, AdSense uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating website. If the advertisements are included on a website that has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, AdSense will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes, also known as public service announcements (PSAs). (The Mediabot is different from the Googlebot, which maintains Google's search index.)

Many websites use AdSense to monetize their content. AdSense has been particularly important for delivering advertising revenue to small websites that do not have the resources for developing advertising sales programs and sales people. To fill a website with advertisements that are relevant to the topics discussed, webmasters implement a brief script on the websites' pages. Websites that are content-rich have been very successful with this advertising program, as noted in a number of publisher case studies on the AdSense website.

Some webmasters invest significant effort into maximizing their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:[citation needed]

1. They use a wide range of traffic-generating techniques, including but not limited to online advertising.
2. They build valuable content on their websites that attracts AdSense advertisements, which pay out the most when they are clicked.
3. They use text content on their websites that encourages visitors to click on advertisements. Note that Google prohibits webmasters from using phrases like "Click on my AdSense ads" to increase click rates. The phrases accepted are "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements".

The source of all AdSense income is the AdWords program, which in turn has a complex pricing model based on a Vickrey second price auction. AdSense commands an advertiser to submit a sealed bid (i.e., a bid not observable by competitors). Additionally, for any given click received, advertisers only pay one bid increment above the second-highest bid.

[edit] History

The underlying technology behind AdSense was derived originally from WordNet, Simpli (a company started by the founder of Wordnet, George A. Miller), and a number of professors and graduate students from Brown University, including James A. Anderson, Jeff Stibel, and Steve Reiss.[2] A variation of this technology utilizing WordNet was developed by Oingo, a small search engine company based in Santa Monica founded in 1998 by Gilad Elbaz and Adam Weissman.[3][4] Oingo changed its name to Applied Semantics in 2001,[5] which was later acquired by Google in April 2003 for US$102 million.[6]

[edit] Types

[edit] AdSense for Feeds

In May 2005, Google announced a limited-participation beta version of AdSense for Feeds, a version of AdSense that runs on RSS and Atom feeds that have more than 100 active subscribers. According to the Official Google Blog, "advertisers have their ads placed in the most appropriate feed articles; publishers are paid for their original content; readers see relevant advertising—and in the long run, more quality feeds to choose from."[7]

AdSense for Feeds works by inserting images into a feed. When the image is displayed by a RSS reader or Web browser, Google writes the advertising content into the image that it returns. The advertisement content is chosen based on the content of the feed surrounding the image. When the user clicks the image, he or she is redirected to the advertiser's website in the same way as regular AdSense advertisements.

AdSense for Feeds remained in its beta state until August 15, 2008, when it became available to all AdSense users.

[edit] AdSense for search

A companion to the regular AdSense program, AdSense for search, allows website owners to place Google search boxes on their websites. When a user searches the Internet or the website with the search box, Google shares any advertising revenue it makes from those searches with the website owner. However the publisher is paid only if the advertisements on the page are clicked: AdSense does not pay publishers for mere searches.

[edit] AdSense for mobile content

AdSense for mobile content allows publishers to generate earnings from their mobile websites using targeted Google advertisements. Just like AdSense for content, Google matches advertisements to the content of a website — in this case, a mobile website.

[edit] AdSense for domains

Adsense for domains allows advertisements to be placed on domain names that have not been developed. This offers domain name owners a way to monetize domain names that are otherwise dormant. Adsense for domains is currently being offered to some users, with plans to make it available to all in stages.

On December 12, 2008, TechCrunch reported that AdSense for Domains is available for all US publishers.[8]

[edit] XHTML compatibility

As of September 2007, the HTML code for the AdSense search box does not validate as XHTML, and does not follow modern principles of website design because of its use of

* non-standard end tags, such as and ,
* the attribute checked rather than checked="checked",
* presentational attributes other than id, class, or style — for example, bgcolor and align,
* a table structure for purely presentational (i.e., non-tabular) purposes,1 and
* the font tag.2

1: using a table structure for unintended purposes is strongly recommended against by the W3C[citation needed], but nevertheless does not cause a document to fail validation — there is currently no algorithmic method of determining whether a table is used "correctly" (for displaying tabular data or for displaying elements, that get proportionally wider or narrower when browser window resizes in width without active client side scripting).
2: the font tag is deprecated but does not fail validation in any XHTML standard.

Additionally, the AdSense advertisement units use the JavaScript method document.write(), which does not work correctly when rendered with the application/xhtml+xml MIME type. The units also use the iframe HTML tag, which is not validated correctly with the XHTML 1.0 Strict or XHTML 1.0 Transitional DOCTYPEs.

The terms of the AdSense program forbid its affiliates from modifying the code, thus preventing these participants from having valid XHTML websites.

However, a workaround has been found by creating a separate HTML webpage containing only the AdSense advertisement units, and then importing this page into an XHTML webpage with an object tag.[9] This workaround appears to be accepted by Google.[10]

[edit] How AdSense works

* The webmaster inserts the AdSense JavaScript code into a webpage.
* Each time this page is visited, the JavaScript code uses inlined JSON to display content fetched from Google's servers.
* For contextual advertisements, Google's servers use a cache of the page to determine a set of high-value keywords. If keywords have been cached already, advertisements are served for those keywords based on the AdWords bidding system. (More details are described in the AdSense patent.)
* For site-targeted advertisements, the advertiser chooses the page(s) on which to display advertisements, and pays based on cost per mille (CPM), or the price advertisers choose to pay for every thousand advertisements displayed.[11][12]
* For referrals, Google adds money to the advertiser's account when visitors either download the referred software or subscribe to the referred service.[13] The referral program was retired in August 2008.[14]
* Search advertisements are added to the list of results after the visitor performs a search.
* Because the JavaScript is sent to the Web browser when the page is requested, it is possible for other website owners to copy the JavaScript code into their own webpages. To protect against this type of fraud, AdSense customers can specify the pages on which advertisements should be shown. AdSense then ignores clicks from pages other than those specified.

[edit] Abuse

Some webmasters create websites tailored to lure searchers from Google and other engines onto their AdSense website to make money from clicks. These "zombie" websites often contain nothing but a large amount of interconnected, automated content (e.g., a directory with content from the Open Directory Project, or scraper websites relying on RSS feeds for content). Possibly the most popular form of such "AdSense farms" are splogs (spam blogs), which are centered around known high-paying keywords. Many of these websites use content from other websites, such as Wikipedia, to attract visitors. These and related approaches are considered to be search engine spam and can be reported to Google.[citation needed]

A Made for AdSense (MFA) website or webpage has little or no content, but is filled with advertisements so that users have no choice but to click on advertisements. Such pages were tolerated in the past, but due to complaints, Google now disables such accounts.

There have also been reports of Trojan horses engineered to produce counterfeit Google advertisements that are formatted looking like legitimate ones. The Trojan downloads itself onto an unsuspecting computer through a webpage and then replaces the original advertisements with its own set of malicious advertisements.[15]

[edit] Criticism

Due to concerns about click fraud, 'Google AdSense' has been criticized by some search engine optimization firms as a large source of what Google calls "invalid clicks", in which one company clicks on a rival's search engine advertisements to drive up the other company's costs.[16]

To help prevent click fraud, AdSense publishers can choose from a number of click-tracking programs.[citation needed] These programs display detailed information about the visitors who click on the AdSense advertisements. Publishers can use this to determine whether or not they have been a victim of click fraud. There are a number of commercial tracking scripts available for purchase.

The payment terms for webmasters have also been criticized.[17] Google withholds payment until an account reaches US$100,[18] but many micro content providers[citation needed] require a long time—years in some cases—to build up this much AdSense revenue. However, Google will pay all earned revenue greater than US$10 when an AdSense account is closed.

Many website owners complain that their AdSense accounts have been disabled just before they were supposed to receive their first paycheck from Google. Google claims accounts have been disabled due to click fraud.[citation needed]

Google came under fire when the official Google AdSense Blog showcased the French video website Imineo.com. This website violated Google's AdSense Program Policies by displaying AdSense alongside sexually explicit material. Typically, websites displaying AdSense have been banned from showing such content.[19] Some sites have been banned for distributing copyright material even when they hold the copyright themselves or are authorized by the copyright holder to distribute the material.[20]

It has been reported that using both AdSense and AdWords may cause a website to pay Google a commission when the website advertises itself.[21]
